A-Day game to be ‘exactly’ like last year

AUBURN – A-Day will be “exactly” like last year, with the team split into two squads – like the first and second teams with some players flipping sides for more reps.

“We’re going to put the ball down and we’re going to get after it,” coach Gus Malzahn said. “We’re going to do what we do.”

Auburn will hold its regular Tuesday and Thursday practices this week before concluding spring with A-Day. Last year Malzahn cancelled two earlier practices to go over corrections after the spring game,

“I think it’s really important, especially for us to grade the scrimmage, to come back and try to get corrections the last two practices,” he said after last year’s game.… More
